Refund Policy

Atelite Design is committed to providing high-quality product design services. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may or may not be issued. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Refund Policy - the basics

1. Service-Based Work

Because our work involves creative, strategic, and time-based services, refunds are generally not offered once work has begun.
However, exceptions may apply under specific conditions outlined below.

2. Deposits

All deposits paid to begin a project are non-refundable, as they secure project scheduling and cover initial research, planning, and design preparation.

3. Cancellation Before Work Begins

If you wish to cancel a project before any work has started:

  • You may be eligible for a partial refund of any additional payments made beyond the deposit.

  • The non-refundable deposit will be retained.

4. Cancellation After Work Has Begun

If you cancel a project after work has commenced:

  • No full refunds will be issued.

  • You will be responsible for payment of all work completed up to the cancellation date.

  • Any remaining unearned fees (beyond completed work) may be refunded at our discretion.

5. Completed Work

Once final deliverables are submitted and approved, no refunds will be issued.
Design work is subjective, and Atelite Design is committed to working collaboratively to meet agreed project goals.

6. Dissatisfaction with Work

If you are unhappy with the work at any stage:

  • Please notify us as soon as possible so we can address your concerns.

  • We will provide reasonable revisions within the agreed project scope.

  • Refunds will not be issued based on subjective dissatisfaction after work is completed or delivered.

7. Third-Party Costs

Fees paid to third parties (e.g., prototyping vendors, manufacturers, software services, materials) are non-refundable, and Atelite Design is not responsible for their refund policies.

8. Digital Files

Due to the nature of digital design assets, refunds cannot be issued for:

  • CAD files

  • Sketches, drafts, or concepts

  • Final digital deliverables
    once they have been released to the client.

9. Project Pauses

If a project is paused by the client for more than 30 days:

  • Atelite Design reserves the right to close the project.

  • Any future restart may require new fees.

  • No refunds will be issued for work already completed.
